The picture shows two views of this Old Elks Fraternal Jewelry Locket With Stone. Shown is a view of both sides of the outside and the inside. It appear that is was gold plated, but there is some wear on the plating. The front has a raised image of an elk, mountains, plant life, and the Sun. There is a stone over the Sun. The stone may be a diamond, but it has not been tested. There are no pictures inside. The two retainer rings are intact, but one of the two clear coverings is gone. Within a heart on the inside it is marked ''W & H CO.'' which most likely stands for the Whitehead & Hoag Company of Newark, New Jersey. It measures 1-1/8'' wide. It is in very good condition with some wear and a small indent on the back.
