The picture shows the (2) Audubon Society Pins (One Old And One Newer) in this lot. What a difference between the two! The first one is an early celluloid pin back button with a beautiful color image of a bird and the background. It reads: AUDUBON SOCIETY The paper insert in the back has a Union mark and reads: BASTIAN BROS. CO. MFR'S OF RIBBONS, MEDALS, AND CELLULOID NOVELTIES ROCHESTER, N. Y. (New York) The newer one is of a gold metal and enameled in blue and white. This one is a tie tack type with the back section included. It pictures a crane or heron and reads: NATIONAL AUDUBON SOCIETY The first one measures 7/8" wide and is in near mint condition. The second one is 3/4" and in mint condition. |
