| The picture shows both sides of this Early Doll Premium Advertising Coupon. This early doll premium offer came from the Johnson Educator Food Company of Cambridge, Massachusetts. The doll could have been ordered by sending in (5) coupons from Blue Educator Cape Cod Cookies and (5) coupons from Educator Toasterette Crackers. The doll was promoted as "SMILES" A Darling New Baby. There is an "IDEAL" logo below the doll that is also marked: "TALKING - WALKING - SLEEPING - DOLLS - TRADE MARK". I don't have an exact date for this coupon, but it is believed to be from the late 1800's or the early 1900's. The coupon is printed in red and green inks and measures 2-1/4" x 4-1/4". It is in excellent condition with a few small wrinkles as can be seen in the picture. |
