The pictures below show larger views of the 1898 Keene New Hampshire Brick Manufacturer Envelope with Signed Letter in this lot. Both sides of the envelope are shown. The back of the letter is blank. The envelope has a pink or red George Washington two cent postage stamp, postmarks fromWest Swanzey and Keene, New Hampshire, on Christmas Day, December 25th 1898. It was sent to a Keene, New Hampshire mailing address. The envelope is marked as follows:

The letter reads (as best we can make out) as follows:

The letter measures 5-5/8'' x 8-7/8'' and the envelope measures 6-1/4'' x 3-5/8''. The letter appears to be in mint condition. The envelope was opened on the right and has some spotting from handling as pictured.
