Shown is the hard back cover, The Lucky Strike Worlds Fair Building, and the title page. This book is by Roy C. Flannagan and it was published for the 1939 - 1940 New York World's Fair. It was most likely given out as an advertising souvenir at their Fair Exhibit. The book has an embossed cover featuring the Trylon and Perisphere and wording ''1939 NEW YORK WORLD'S FAIR''. The book has many unnumbered pages with lots of nice sepiatone images. The book covers the entire process of tobacco growing and Lucky Strike cigarette manufacturing (up until 1938). Pictured are many employees, machinery, buildings, and factory scenes. The book is loaded with Historical tobacco industry information. It measures 5-1/4'' x 7-3/4''. It is in near mint condition as pictured. |
