1911 & 1918 Named United States Army Soldier Cabinet Card Photographs
United States   America   American   Americana   U.S. Army   Soldier   Doughboy   Military   World War I   WWI   War   Photo   Photograph   Photography   Paper   Ephemera   History   Historic
The pictures below show larger front and back views of the 1911 & 1918 Named United States Army Soldier Cabinet Card Photographs in this lot. The photographs show this young man in two different uniforms. They are of the same young man but there are seven years difference between the two. They are marked on the back sides as follows:

HARRY E. BODGE
NOV. 1911

HARRY E. BODGE
TAKEN JAN. 1918

In the first photo he is posing under an American flag on a flagpole. He is wearing a hat with two bands and a wreath with what appears to be three numbers or letters. On his collar it looks like ''BSO 5'' (?).

The second photo he is posing in a World War I Doughboy uniform in front of a building or home.

Both photographs are mounted on mat boards or cards. The photographs with the mat boards measure about 4-1/8'' x 5-7/8'' (left) and 4-1/2'' x 6-1/4 (right). The right photo appears to be in near mint condition with only a couple tiny spots on the card at the upper right. The left photo has some old water damage on the mat and photo at the upper left side as pictured.
