The picture shows a view of the World War I Belgian Babies Forget Me Not Flowers With Ribbons & Tag. These flowers were found loose in a scrap book from World War I and the 1920s. These are made of cloth, wire, and an attached paper tag. There are light blue Forget Me Not flowers, leaves, a green wire stem, gold and black ribbons, and the paper tag. It is marked on the two sides of the tag as follows:

''BELGIAN BABIES''

''COPYRIGHT 1918 BY
MAJOR LEON OSTERRIETH''

Without getting into the horrors of war, we believe that these flowers were sold to help provide badly needed aid to Belgian children.

To judge the size the paper tag measures 2-1/4'' x 1''. It appears to be in good condition as pictured. There is a small piece of clear tape on the back of the tag over the holes on the stem. Below here, for reference. is some information pertaining to the Major Leon Osterrieth on the tag:

Leon Osterrieth
