The pictures show views of this Old Celluloid or Early Plastic Doll in a Lowell Massachusetts Advertising Box. The first two pictures show the doll in the box and the second two show the closed box. We found this doll stored in this box as you see it pictured. It is not dated but it is old. She appears to be made of celluloid or a very light weight early plastic. She has a jointed or posable head, arms, and legs. Her facial features, blue eyes, blonde hair, and blue head band are painted.

Without undressing her we could not find a manufacturers name. We did however find her marked with a cross in a circle and ''MADE IN JAPAN'' near the neck on the back. There is also a blue and white stamp or sticker between her legs that reads ''N.C.W.U.T.A. PASSED''. She comes with the knitted or crocheted outfit she is wearing. It is made of a soft yarn with blue ribbons. There is a hat, a dress, underwear, and booties on her feet. Each piece has blue ribbons.

The box is made of heavy weight cardboard. It is printed in blue with stripes and a flower pot with flowers. It is marked as follows:

FLOWERS WHEN YOU NEED THEM
KENNEY'S FLOWER SHOP
LOWELL, MASS.

To judge the doll size, she fills the box and it measures about 12'' x 5'' x 4''. The doll appears to be in mint condition and the box has some light wear and spotting as pictured.
