The picture shows a view of this Old Thurston & Johnston Chocolates Candy Advertising Box. This is an empty 1/2 pound candy box. The box is not dated but it is believed to be from the early 1900s. The lid has a paper cover and the bottom has fancy flower embossed insert papers. It is marked as follows:

THURSTON & JOHNSTON

SIXTEEN KINDS
NET WEIGHT 1-2 LB.

The closed box measures 5-3/4'' x 3'' x 1-3/4''. It is in very good condition with a little corner wear to the paper wrapper as pictured. This box was saved and used to store old religious relics and medals. Written on the cover is ''M. Lyons Medals & rel. ast.''.
