Native American Indian   Florida   Photo   Photography
The picture shows a close view of this 1936 Native American Seminole Indian Woman & Child Photograph. It pictures two Native American Seminole Indians. They are apparently at the entrance of a tourist exhibit. The sign reads:

TO THE EVERGLADES
SEMINOLE INDIAN VILLAGE
& EXHIBIT

The child in the front is wearing a native shirt and dress with a striped pattern. Around the child's neck are at least ten strands of beads with one having some type of hanging charms or beads. The Woman inside the structure is partially hidden. She is wearing a native dress or shirt and around her neck is at least a hundred stands of beads. The ones higher up on her neck are black and difficult to see in the scan but can be seen on the photo. She is also wearing a hat. On the table there is some type of loom for weaving. On the back of the photograph there is a blue printed stamping that has two circles and within those it is marked:

A. WIEBOLDT
JAN. 18, 1936
SANFORD, FLA.

It measures 4-1/2" x 2-3/4" and it is in near mint condition.
