V.F.W.   Veteran   War   Military   Americana
The picture shows this 1939 Veterans Of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) Boston, Massachusetts Encampment Medal. Beginning at the top there is the name badge section with a raised image of the "STATE HOUSE" and the word "BOSTON". There is a paper insert with the name "H.T. BECKWITH". Hanging from the pin section is a red/white/blue ribbon. Hanging from it is the medallion. The medal has a raised image of "FANEUIL HALL" and the V.F.W. emblem logo. It reads:

40th NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT
BOSTON
AUG. 27th - SEPT. 1st 1939

The back of the medal is marked:

ROBBINS CO.
ATTLEBORO

The medal / ribbon measures 4-1/2" long and is in excellent condition as can be seen in the scan.
