| The picture shows a view of all (20) Colorful Old Alcatraz Prison Decals With Envelopes in this lot. These decals are not dated but they are believed to be from 1949. As a joke they are believed to be portraying someone with a (50) year sentence at Alcatraz. Well, the fictional sentence to the year 1999 has come and gone. They are very colorful with a chained man pictured. These are old water decals ans each of the envelopes have the instructions for applying. They were probably originally sold in an old joke shop or an old five and dime store. They are marked as follows: CLASS OF 1999
ALCATRAZ The decals each measure about 3-1/8'' x 4-11/16''. The decals are in unused condition as pictured, however, they are stuck inside the envelopes and will require a little steam to loosen them. With some time and care they will come off. We had removed several with no problem. An example of one that was steamed and removed is pictured. |
