|The picture shows a view of this Old Unused Coney Island New York Philips Candy Shop Advertising Post Card. This postcard is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1960s. There are two pictures on the front. One is an inset black and white image of the candy store from 1930. That very photograph can be seen in the window of the newer picture. The postcard front states that it is ''CONEY ISLAND'S OLDEST CANDY SHOP''. Candy, pretzels and more can be seen in all the window displays. The signs that can be seen read as follows:|
Salt Water Taffy
Vanilla - Chocolate - Strawberry - Banana
Fresh Made Salt Water Taffy
Salt Water Taffee
KA-RA-ME-LA Pop Corn
Root Beer Float
Coney Island's Oldest Candy & Nut Shoppe
The back of the card has the store address and also states the following:
Coney Island's oldest candy shop. Open all year. Featuring chocolate covered strawberries, fudge, salt water taffy, ice cream, popcorn, caramel and jelly apples, giant lollypops, french chocolates, marzipan, mouth watering specialties for all holidays.
The post card measures 5-1/2'' x 3-1/2''. It is in mint unused condition as pictured.
