The picture shows a view of the (2) Old United States Army National Guard 104th Infantry Regiment Enameled Uniform Insignia Pins in this lot. These pins are not dated and the year that they were made or used is unknown. The two pins are identical. They are made of a silver colored metal and they are enameled in red, white, and blue. They feature an insignia with a torch, (6) stars, an arrowhead and a red cross. They are marked on the back as follows:

ATTLEBORO (Massachusetts)

The pins measure 13/16'' x 1''. They appear to be in mint unused condition as pictured. Below here, for reference, is some additional information:

The 104th Infantry Regiment traces its history to 14 November 1639, when it was first mustered as the Springfield Train Band in Springfield, Massachusetts. In 1662 the unit was formed into the Hampshire Regiment of the Massachusetts Militia. It later served in the Continental Army during the American Revolution, with Union forces in the American Civil War, and as a federalized Massachusetts National Guard regiment with the U.S. Army during War with Spain, Mexican Border Campaign, World War I and World War II. The last active element of the regiment, the 1st Battalion, was deactivated in 2005 and the soldiers and lineage transferred to the 1st Battalion, 181st Infantry Regiment.
