| | | | The pictures below show larger views of this Scrap Book with (58) 1951 – 1960 Maine Civil Defense Related Newspaper Articles. Many of the articles have written or printed dates or years that range from 1951 to 1960. The scrap book has the same painting image on the front and back. There is lots of post World War II or Cold War History to read about here. Some of the articles have pictures as well. They are from different towns in Maine including Elliot, Augusta, York Beach, Washington, D.C. and others. The last seven articles were never pasted on the pages, but all of the others are. Apparently, whoever made this scrapbook was either a Civil Defense member or had something to do with the American Civil Defense. All of these articles for one price! To judge the sizes the scrap book itself measures about 10'' x 13-5/8'' x 1/4''. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. |
