The picture below shows a larger view of all in this lot. This (106) page hard back book was a primer book for the first grade in school. This particular book was inscribed inside, was given as a gift on Christmas of 1912. It reads:

WITH LOVE FROM AUNT BESS.
CHRISTMAS 1912.

The title page is marked as follows:

The cover is embossed. In the front, and in the back is the music and lyrics to the song “THE BROWNIES” by Lydia Avery Coonley with music by Frank H. Atkinson, Jr.. Throughout this book there are many, many colorful images of The Brownies, only a few that are shown below. Many are at play, at work, Halloween and Chjristmas holiday scenes, and much more. There are also images of children, and of Santa Claus as well. The Table of Contents reads as follows:

The hard back book measures about 6-1/4'' x 7-7/8'' x 3/8''. It appears to be in good used condition as pictured. There is over all spotting from small hands handling it over many years.
