| | | | The picture shows a closed and opened view of this Old Spanish Fly Joke Novelty Toy Gag Gift. It is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s or 1960s. The small jewelry type box is made of yellow and blue plastic with ''SPANISH FLY'' imprinted in red on the cover. When opened you see a printed paper insert with a Spanish or Mexican fly named ''HERNANDO'' wearing a hat. This was probably sold out of a novelty, joke, or magic store or catalog. This politically incorrect novelty would make a great bar or night club joke. The box measures 2-1/4'' x 1-7/8'' x 3/8''. It is in excellent condition as pictured. The old glue that held the paper insert had discolored with age. |
