Gumball Machine   Prize   Premium   Magic   Viewer   Stanhope   Novelty
The picture shows a close view of the (2) Different RARE Old Gum Ball Machine Prize Magic Viewer Glasses in this lot. Shown is a top, side, and bottom view of both. These are a few of the most interesting gum ball machine prizes we've ever seen. The inside bottom of one has a woman pictured and the other has a man. Both of these might be of movie stars but I am not sure. Neither picture can be seen well without putting water in them. A little of the image on the left one can be seen. These are the only two examples I have ever seen in many years of collecting gumball machine prizes. I've seen a similar "real" item in the past, it was a set of Saki cups with nude women that appear with water added. These are made of plastic with an applied paper bottom. The top section is clear and the bottom is colored plastic. The bottoms have the instructions that read:

MAGIC CUP
FILL WITH WATER
AND A PICTURE APPEARS

These are not charms with a loop. They are not dated but are believed to be from the 1960's. The cups each measure 1" tall. They are in near mint to mint as made condition.
