The picture below shows a larger view of this Large 1800s Tintype Portrait Photograph of A Seated Woman. This is larger then a 1/2 plate photo. The woman is dressed in antique or vintage clothing. She is wearing a dress, a pearl necklace, and a jewelry brooch pin on her collar.

This tintype photograph was acquired from an old estate with many more older photographs dating back as far as the Civil War to the early 1900s, including many tintypes, carte de visite (CDV), and cabinet cards. The people are not identified, however, the majority of photographs were of people who were probably related, and lived in Rochester, New Hampshire, and Bangor, Maine.

The tin photo measures about 5'' x 6-15/16''. The image is very sharp with detail and clean. We are not graders, but it appears to be in excellent or better condition as pictured. The photograph itself had been well protected since it was taken many years ago, however, it has some wrinkling of the metal, and a light oval can be seen where this photograph had once been inside a frame with an oval mat.
