| | | | The picture below shows a larger view of all (34) Colorful Old Plastic Smile Face Gum Ball Machine Prize Novelty Toy Rings in this lot. These toy rings are not dated but they were used as prizes in 1960s, 1970s, and maybe a few 1980s gumball machines. Those in the bottom row are all still on their special ring holders. These special holders were used instead of capsules. They were to keep the rings from tangling and jamming the vending machines. Some of these type toy rings may have also been sold from a cardboard display in old five and dime stores. Two of these have a flicker or lenticular face. These rings are made of different color plastics and have different combinations of paint color on the raised rims and faces. Some have a colorful applied sticker. The makers are unknown. All thirty-four of these rings for one price! To judge the sizes, the face of the ring at the top measures about 1-3/8'' wide. The backs spread apart to fit different children’s size fingers. They are all in mint unused condition as pictured. |
