The picture shows all (5) Ladies Old Purse Items in this lot. The first item is a mechanical comb. There is a lever on the side that slides which moves the hair comb in and out of the brass case. It has a nice design on it and a place for engraving. It also has a loop at the top to hang like a charm on a chain. There is some light wear on the brass finish.

The second item is an old mechanical Avon make up brush. When you hold it upright and push the button on the end out pops the brush from inside. On the brass ring it is marked: "AVON - PATENT NO. 2591537 - MADE IN U.S.A.". It is in excellent condition.

The third item is a brass telescoping pen. It has a cap with a loop for hanging. When opened and without the cap it measures 3-5/8" long. It is marked on one end: "WRITESCOPE - PAT. PEND.". It does not write but otherwise in excellent condition.

The fourth item is a small empty brass lipstick holder. It has two parts and is in excellent condition with a spot on the bottom half.

The fifth and final item in this lot appears to be a match safe but it is not. It is an old lipstick holder. The lipstick is melted inside but it would operate if it was removed. The center section appears to be celluloid or bakelite but I am not sure. It is maroon and white in color. The metal top is marked "SO-FISTIK" and a paper label on the bottom end is marked "SO-FISTIK - VIVID - AUSTIN - GREENE INC., N.Y.". It is in near mint condition but the lipstick is melted inside. To judge the sizes the retractible comb measures 3-1/4" long.
