| | | | The picture shows a front and back view of this Old New Orleans Louisiana Black Magic Voo Doo Doll. This Voo Doo doll is not dated but it is believed to be old. It may have been a souvenir of New Orleans at one time. This zombie looking character has a black ceramic head with white and yellow teeth. There is gold glitter instead of eyes in the sockets. It has some type of dried brown grass stuffed in the torso or body as well as coming out of the top of the head. The body is covered in a colorful cloth that has charms sewn on such as a leaf, oyster shell, fake pearl, and gold plastic balls. Around the neck hangs an empty yellow cloth bag. There is a yellow ribbon belt or sash that is marked as follows: NEW ORLEANS VOO DOO It is unknown if this doll has anything to do with Mardi Gras or not. Counting the grass hair the creepy looking doll measures about 11-1/2'' tall. It appears to be in mint as made condition. |
