| | | | The picture shows three views of this Old Metal Lestoil Products Advertising Zippo Cigarette Lighter. This lighter is not dated but it is old. The lighter is silver in color. The lighting in the left picture makes it look gold, but it is not. It looks silver like the right picture. This lighter may have been used as an employee award or gift. It also could have been an advertising premium or promotional item. It has advertising on the front that reads: LESTOIL PRODUCTS, INC. It is marked on the bottom as follows: ZIPPO ¨
BRADFORD, PA.
PAT. 2517191 (1950 patent number) The lighter measures about 2-1/8'' tall. It appears to be in excellent condition with only light over all wear as pictured. The lighter could be polished, but that will be up to the buyer to decide. We have not filled or tested this lighter, so it must be sold as is as seen. It is tight in the case and we did not try to force it out. Perhaps a little oil would help. The lighter may need an adjustment to the hinge because it does not stay completely closed (under 1/16''). It will require a new flint and lighter fluid. |
