The picture shows a view of both sides of this 1901 Boston, Massachusetts Commemorative Coin / Medal. It is made of copper and has a hole for hanging as a medallion. On one side it has a raised image of four military officers on horse back, many troops, ships, and buildings in the background. There are also cannons and cannon balls. This side reads:

HOSTIBUS PRIMO FUGATIS
BOSTONIUM RECUPERATUM
XVII: MARTN
MDCCLXXVI

The other side has a beautifully detailed wreath with ribbon. It reads:

SOUVENIR
125th
ANNIVERSARY
EVACUATION DAY
BOSTON, MASS.
1901
W. & H. Co. (Whitehead & Hoag Co.)

The coin is dated 1901 and is commemorating an event from 1776. It measures 1-1/2" wide and is in excellent condition.
