Dr. Pepper   Soda   Soft Drink   Drink   Beverage   Slogan   Contest   Advertising   Post Card   Silver   Dollar   Character   Radio   Radio Station   Promotional   Eldorado   Arkansas
The picture shows a front and back view of one of the (4) Unused ©1952 Dr. Pepper Soda Slogan Contest Advertising Post Cards in this lot. All four that are included here are identical. The prizes offered were paid in silver dollars and there is a Silver Dollar Man advertising character on these. The way the contest worked is that you would fill out and mail in the postcard and listen to the radio on KDMS of Eldorado, Arkansas for winning entries. On the postcard you would finish this statement: ''Dr. Pepper is the nicest thing that ever happened to a thirst because ___________. Entries were selected on the basis of originality and content of the message. There are perforated stubs on the sides of the cards that are all intact. The post cards each measure about 5-1/2'' x 3-3/8''. They appear to be in excellent to near mint condition as pictured. They each have a little edge wear from handling or storage from over the years.
