The picture shows views of this Old United States & Cuba Flag Folding Hand Fan. Two views are shown of it folded and one of it fully opened. It is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1800s or early 1900s. The handles are wooden with a flag printed paper covering. The fan is made of printed cloth with an American flag. The handles are carved out so that the fan fits completely enclosed inside when folded. The round hinge section is metal with a paper or celluloid insert. The ends of the handles have metal tips and there is a metal latch or clip to hold it open. The fully opened fan measures 12-3/4'' x 8-3/4''. It is in excellent condition with some light soiling on the handle from it being used.
