Only one of these items are dated, and the years that the others were made are unknown. Included here are the following items: There is an old 45 rpm record with the advertising sleeve or cover. The record has a Christmas wreath with a bow on the front. It was a Christmas gift from an RCA / Victor record dealer. The sleeve is marked “MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM YOUR RCA VICTOR RECORD DEALER”. (RCA Victor SP-45-35) The back of the cover has a record advertisement from each of the Artists on the record. The record has (4) old Christmas songs on it. These include: 1. GOD REST YE MERRY, GENTLEMEN / PERRY COMO
2. GOOD KING WENCESLAS / AMES BROTHERS
3. SILENT NIGHT / HARRY BELAFONTE
4. HARK! THE HERALD ANGELS SING / ADESTE FIDELIS Next there is an old RCA Victor Nipper Dog advertising character chalkware figurine. It is marked “VICTOR” on the base. There may have been a chalkware phonograph to go with it at one time. There is a tiny old round paper RCA Victor Nipper Dog advertising character with a phonograph, listening to his master’s voice. We do not know what this was from. The back is blank. The final item included here is an unused ©1989 Dover Publication reproduction of a much earlier RCA Victor trade card. The colorful copy was made as a postcard here. Again it has the RCA Victor Nipper Dog advertising character with a phonograph, listening to his master’s voice. All four of these for one price! To judge the sizes the paper record sleeve measures about 7-1/16'' x 7''. These items appear to be in very good to excellent condition as pictured. |
