| | | | The pictures show two views of this Old Wooden Book Shelf Mechanical Cigarette Dispenser Music Box. The box is not dated but it is old. The maker is unknown, but it is marked ''JAPAN'' on the bottom. In the bottom there is a metal key to wind. The way that this works is that with the key wound, you would push the button on the front, then the action and music begins. While the music plays ''Smoke Gets In Your Eyes'' the back compartment door on the top slowly opens and a carved dog appears bringing you a cigarette. The dog then slowly returns down, the door closes, and the music stops. The front panel on the top opens to stock the box with cigarettes. The cigarettes used in the dispenser must be 3-1/2'' long or less (filtered or non filtered). The front of the box has miniature colorful painted books on a shelf and a cigarette painted on the bottom panel. The closed box measures about 4-1/2'' x 4-1/2'' x 4-1/2''. It appears to be in near mint condition as pictured. |
