The picture below shows a larger view of all (30) Small Old Japan or Japanese Advertising Souvenir and Novelty Asian Items in this lot. This is an accumulated lot with a variety of items. A few of these items are dated. The other years are unknown but all of the items included here are old. Included are the following items:

There is a 1907 University Travel In The Far East advertising brochure. It is for travel to Japan from Seattle, Washington and back. The (16) pages are filled with much information and a few pictures.

There is a large colorful and detailed ©1974 Tokyo Japan fold up map. It has Subways, Bus Routes, Express Ways, Railways, Businesses, Shopping, Sightseeing, and much more.

There is an old advertisement and order form for an “AROUND THE WORLD PROGRAM”. It is a program with booklets, stamps, maps, and more from different countries. With this particular order form you could have gotten a premium Geisha Doll and more with your order. We don’t see a date but it was probably from the 1960s or 1970s.

Next is an old unused undivided back postcard. It pictures two women on a porch. The caption reads: “6956. A MEMORY OF FAR JAPAN.”.

There are (3) unused sets of wooden chop sticks. These are in their original wrappers. These may have been saved as souvenirs from one of the World’s Fairs, but we can not remember for sure.

Next there are (10) different photograph slides. These are “SCENES OF THE JAPANESE COUNTRYSIDE”. They are a set numbered from #4171 to #4180. The captions on the slides are as follows:

FUJI, THE SACRED MOUNTAIN
HARVESTING RICE
DRAGON BOAT TO THE ISLAND
VERMILLION GATE, SANJUSANGENDO HALL – KYOTO
FALL COLOR, JAPAN
SCENE AT SHRINE ISLAND, MIYAJIMI
DRYING RICE HULLS
WOMAN FIREWOOD GATHERERS
BEDDING AIRING
OVERLOOKING MATSUSHIMA (PINE ISLANDS)

There is an old carved and painted wooden drink coaster. It is marked “MADE IN JAPAN”.

There is a colorful old vinyl Geisha Girl zippered change purse.

There is a porcelain Japanese figurine. It looks like the person would be carrying water. It probably had a salt & pepper shaker set hanging from it at one time.

There is a smaller porcelain or ceramic pagota building.

Next is a cute miniature wooden home with two Japanese figures next to it.

There is a plastic or celluloid clam shell with a Japanese scene on the top and a colorful painted celluloid 3D scene inside with a building, a bridge, a boat, water, trees, leaves, and a Japanese person. This was probably an old souvenir item.

There is a very detailed building made of what appears to be very tiny lightweight and fragile sticks. (bottom left in the picture)

Next is an unopened Tokyo, Japan advertising souvenir miniature collector spoon. The handle has an enameled shield shape with a mountain scene. It is marked on the two sides as follows:

TOKYO
NICKEL SILVER PAT

There are (2) different advertising plastic swizzle drink stirrer sticks These are from:

BENIHANA OF TOKYO
OSAKA ROYAL HOTEL

There is an old blue plastic “BURIED TREASURE” popsicle stick with a Japanese girl in a kimono, with a fan, and a parasol or umbrella.

There is a wooden jewelry pin with a colorful image of a Japanese woman drinking from a bowl.

The last item in this lot is a full advertising match box. It pictures a Japanese Chef, a logo, and it is from “BENIHANA OF TOKYO”.

All of these items for one price! To judge the sizes the old brochure (top left) measures about 3-3/4'' x 8-3/4''. These items appear to range from good to mint unused condition as pictured.
