The picture shows a view of this Unused 1953 The Beast From 20,000 Fathoms Movie Ad Mat Mold. The ad mat is not dated but it is from the 1953 movie. This is a mold in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this. The ad mat is like a miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use it and make print blocks from it. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. This admat has a movie scene image of the Beast coming up out of the ocean. It is marked as follows:

''THE BEAST FROM 20,000 FATHOMS''

IT'S ALIVE!
A WHOLE CITY PANICKED BY A PREHISTORIC SEA GIANT
RAGING UP ON A TIDAL WAVE OF TERROR!

WARNER BROS. SENSATION OF THE NATION!
