(2) Early Unknown Maker Playing Cards
Playing Cards   Card   Poker   Gambling   Game   Ephemera
The picture shows a front and back view of the (2) Early Unknown Maker Playing Cards in this lot. These two cards had been found in an old trunk with many other items saved and stored from the 1800s. The two cards here were folded and had a small amount of old yarn wrapped around them. The cards do not have numbers, only hearts and diamonds. Included is the four of Hearts and the ten of Diamonds. They have a nice intricate design on the back in maroon, dark blue, and light blue. The maker and age are unknown but they are believed to be from the Civil War era. The cards each measure 2-1/2'' x 3-11/16''. They are in fair condition with a crease and wear as pictured.
