The fan is not dated but it is believed to be from the early 1900s. It is made of printed cardboard and it has a wooden handle. The front pictures a color image of a devivery boy in a hat and apron answering a candle stick phone. A customer has placed an order, he has it in a basket on the counter and he states ''WILL SEND IT AROUND AT ONCE''. In the picture is an old wooden grocery store counter, shelved full of canned tomatoes, canned corn, catsup, many other packaged goods, and a barrel of apples.
