The pictures show views of this Small 1936 Cleveland Centennial Exposition Booklet & Envelope. The envelope is printed in red and blue. It pictures a globe with a compass and city buildings at the point. The back is blank and it opens on the side. It is marked:

GREAT LAKES
EXPOSITION
CLEVELAND CENTENNIAL
CLEVELAND
JUNE 27 TO OCT 4 1936

The booklet covers are gold and they are embossed. The front has images of a Native American Indian and a city building. It is alsp marked:

CLEVELAND 1836 - 1936

The first page pictures a flag and below it reads:

GOOD LUCK TO THE GREAT LAKES EXPOSITION
FRANKLIN D. ROOSEVELT



The next page has information about Cleveland and the Centennial. It also mentions about a Golden Book which peoples names were entered and the purpose of this booklet. The next page is filled in and reads as follows:

It is hereby acknowledged that
Fred H Woodhouse
has visited The Great Lakes Exposition
of Cleveland
and has registered on
Page 206. Column 2. Line 87.
in the GOLDEN BOOK, the largest book in the world.
It is further attested that the above named, by registering
in the GOLDEN BOOK, has contributed to
the fund for the Crippled Children of Ohio.
Not authentic without the official seal

The last page has the (fascimile) signatures of the Executive Committee and some information about the Golden Book with linen ledger that came from the L. L. Brown Paper Company of Adams, Massachusetts.

On the back is the official embossed seal. It is marked as follows:

GOLDEN BOOK INC.
CLEVELAND CENTENNIAL EXPOSITION

To judge the sizes the closed booklet measures 3-1/2'' x 5-1/16''. The booklet is in mint condition. The envelope has some age discoloration as pictured.
