The dark areas are actually mirror like but the scans do not show this. It is unknown how or when this medal was originally offered. On one side there is a break in the wall and on the wall it reads: BERLIN WALL
1961 - 1989 The other side also pictures the wall. It has two men shaking hands and embracing in an opened part of the wall. It reads as follows: AS IT CRUMBLES
