The picture shows a view of this 1927 Newton Massachusetts Playgrounds Commemorative Medal Fob. The back is blank. It is made of a gold colored metal. It has not been tested, but it is probably made of brass. This detailed medal is in an octogan shape with branches, a ribbon, banners, and the Newton, Massachusetts city seal with Native American Indians. There is a jewelry clasp on the loop at the top and it may have been used as a pocket watch fob. It is marked as follows:

NEWTON PLAYGROUNDS
1927
LIBERTY AND UNION
NONANTUM

The medal measures 1-1/4'' wide. It appears to be in near mint to mint condition as pictured.
