This button is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1800s or early 1900s. This type of button is similar to a pinback button except the back was made to attach it to a larger advertising premium such as a pocket watch fob, a letter opener, a clip, a badge, a desk item, or any other similar promotional item. We do not know what it was originally on. The top section is imprinted in red on a beige colored celluloid background. It is marked as follows: PRATT & INMAN
