Photograph   Photo   Photographer   Germany   Military   International
The picture shows the front and back of this Old German Military Officer Photograph Card. It is possible that the man in the photo is an American and it is just the Photographer that is German. The photo is of a man in uniform within an oval. It is a sepiatone image framed in black and gold. At the bottom it is marked

"F. WILLMANN - STUTTGART"

The back has an elaborate design with a monogram, banner, crest, and gold medals pictured. All of the print is gold on a black background. Above the medallions are

"PRAMIIRT" and " STUTTGART"

Below the crest is an "1881" date. The rest of the back is marked as follows:

F. WILLMANN
MALER v. PHOTOGRAPH
36-1/2 MARIEN - STRASSE 36-1/2
STUTTGART
DIE PLATTE BLEIBT FUR NACHBESTELLUNGEN AUFBEWAHRT
F. BRYNCK SOHNE NURNBERG

The photo card measures 2-1/2" x 4-1/8". It is in excellent condition with light edge wear as pictured. There is a number lightly written in pencil on the back.
