(2) Enameled Cooperative Extension Service Advertising Pins
Cooperative Extension   Service   Advertising   Logo   Emblem   Jewelry   Pin   U.S.D.A.   4-H   Organization
The picture shows a view of the (2) Enameled Cooperative Extension Service Advertising Pins in this lot. The year that these were made or awarded is unknown. They are made of a gold colored metal and have dark blue enameling. They are are identical with the following exceptions. The one on the right has an extra wreath that was applied to the back. At the bottoms one is marked with the letters ''HD'' and the other has ''EH''.

These emblem pins are probably for years of service. Each has a fire in a fireplace in the center and they are marked as follows:

COOPERATIVE EXTENSION SERVICE
HOME - FAMILY - COMMUNITY
HD (or) EH

To judge the sizes the larger pin measures about 11/16'' wide. They appear to be in mint condition as pictured. Below here, for reference, is some additional information:

Cooperative Extension Service
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Cooperative Extension Service, also known as the Extension Service of the U.S.D.A., is a non-formal educational program implemented in the United States designed to help people use research based knowledge to improve their lives. The service is provided by the state's designated land grant universities. In most states the educational offerings are in the areas of agriculture and food, home and family, the environment, community economic development, and youth and 4-H. The National Institute of Food and Agriculture of the U.S.D.A. administers funding for Smith Lever Act services in cooperation with state and county governments and land grant universities.
