The watch is not dated, but it is believed to be from the 1980s. We have not changed the battery inside. The watch features a colorful Popeye sleeping with his name above. When on it has Popeye's girlfriend hovering over him (in a dream?), the time, and there is a light. There are three buttons on the watch to operate it. The instructions for the watch are not included. The watch comes with the adjustable metal wrist band that is shown. It is marked on the two sides as follows: POPEYE
