Big Eyed   Pity Puppy   Dog   Animal   Gig   Artist   Art   Print   Nostalgic
The picture shows a view of this 1960s Big Eyed Pity Puppy Gig Art Print. The print with its printed frame is mounted on a heavy paper board and then on a 1/2'' fiber board as made. This print is by the contemporary Artist Gig and was created in the 1960s when many Artists like Keane, Igor, Eden, Lee, Sherle, and many others were doing these big eyed or sad children, kitten, puppy, and animal art works. The image is of a young puppy under an abandoned pier or boardwalk. He is with an old Coca-Cola bottle and some sea shells. From his footsteps in the sand it looks like he came from the old abandoned building in the background. There is printed fascimile signature. It is marked as follows:

GIG ©
© D.A.C., N.Y. (for DONALD ART COMPANY, INC.)
LITHO IN U.S.A.

There is a hole on the back for hanging. The print measures 11'' x 14''. It appears to be in near mint condition with a light scratch above his head as pictured. It can be easily touched up.
