The pictures below shows a larger view of this 1913 Cracker Jack Pop Corn Confection Black Man & Ball Toy Premium Trick Puzzle. We are also including a printed scanned image of the 1913 “Catalogue of Cracker Jack Premiums” pages that this puzzle was offered. It is catalog number #237 on pages 32 & 33 of the premium book. The puzzle is the head of a black man. It is made of a gold painted non magnetic metal. The ball is a steel ball bearing. In the catalog the name of the puzzle is the “PICK ME OUT PUZZLE”. It looks easy but it is not especially if it has any oil on it (unless you use a magnet). In 1913 the puzzle would have cost you (20) Cracker Jack Coupons, or (3) Coupons and 7 cents, and a mailed order form. See catalog description. The metal puzzle measures about 1-5/16'' x 1-3/16'' x 1/2''. It appears to be in near mint condition as pictured.
