Old Agress Nut & Seed Company Letter & Unused Sample Nut Box
Nut   Snack   Food   Advertising   Box   Packaging   Letterhead   Sample   Native American   Indian
The picture shows both the Old Agress Nut & Seed Company Letter & Unused Sample Nut Box. The package is connected to the letter with a single staple. The letter explains that because of popular demand they are now selling this nut product in these cello window packages. It quotes prices and quantities per shipping carton. The letter is signed by Ira S. Agress. The bottom of the letterhead reads:

INDIAN NUTS
SQUASH SEEDS
PUMPKIN SEEDS
SUNFLOWER SEEDS

The box is unused and flat. On both sides it pictures a Native American with headress and reads:

INDIAN BRAND
INDIAN NUTS
PACKED BY AGRESS NUT & SEED CO.
BROOKLYN, N.Y.
NET WT. 3/4 OZ.

Neither the letter or the box are dated but they are believed to be from the 1940's. The letter measures 8-1/2" x 11" and is in very good condition with folds from being mailed. The letter is also discolored under the attached box from the ink on the box being in contact with it all these years.
