| The picture shows a view of all (3) Old Niagara Falls New York Advertising Souvenir Items in this lot. These items are not dated but all three are old. The first item is a small but heavy metal tray. It has a raised image of the Niagara Falls with the Lady of the Mist boat under the falls and a few buildings. It is marked on the two sides as follows: Niagara Falls, N.Y.
JB 2450 Next is an old celluloid pin back button. This pinback button was found in an 1896 collection of pinbacks. Most were cigarette and gum advertising premiums and this one probably was as well but there is no paper label in the back. It has an image of the falls and marked ''Niagara Falls'' with an 1896 patent year on the edge. There is a small red advertising souvenir picture book keychain. The red cover appears to be made of a heavy paperboard that is embossed in gold with ''Niagara Falls'' and an image of the falls. There is a snap to close it on the back and a bead chain. Inside there are (9) folded miniature post card type color images from Niagara Falls. To judge the sizes the metal tray measures about 4-1/2'' x 2-1/2''. The tray appears to be in excellent condition as pictured. The pin back button has age discoloration on the celluloid and rusting on the back. The keychain has the metal snap on the back but the small paper on the snap has torn from opening and closing it. |
