The picture shows a view of the (2) Unused 1957 Peyton Place Movie Ad Mat Molds. The ad mats are not dated but they are from the 1957 movie. These are molds in which lead is poured to create a thin metal negative image that is then mounted on a wooden block for printing. Advertising is no longer being made or printed like this. The ad mats are like a miniature 3-D poster and would look nice framed, or you could still use them to make print blocks from. The print block would have been used to print on movie pages in newspapers, in magazines, or in the movie theater programs. It is made of a thick compressed paper board. The top admat has all of the movie information below, movie scene images actors and actresses, and a scenic movie set background. The bottom one only has one movie scene. It is marked as follows:

The ad mats together measures about 4-1/8'' x 12''. It is in excellent unused condition with a diagonal bend and a water spot in the upper left corner, both as pictured. Below here, for reference, is a cast list from the 1955 movie:
