We are not sure how they were acquired, if they were ordered, or used as a premium for a product. We also do not know how many are in the complete set. The set does have both actresses and actors. In this lot there are (5) actresses and one is a duplicate. These include (left to right) the following names: NORMA TALMADGE
MARION DAVIES
GLORIA SWANSON
POLA NEGRI
POLA HEGRI Each spoon has the actress image at the top of the handle in an oval with her name below it. On the handle of each is their facsimile autograph or signature. There are also some fancy designs or scrollwork on both sides of the handles. They are marked on the back as follows: ONEIDA COMMUNITY
PAR PLATE The spoons each measure about 6'' long. They appear to be in excellent unpolished condition with an aged patina as pictured. They could be polished but that will be left up to the buyer to decide. |
