| The picture shows this Early 1900s Checkers Popcorn Confection Advertising Premium Celluloid Flag Pin Back Button. This could have been a dealer incentive premium or a prize in a box. The Checkers Popcorn Confection product was from the Shotwell Manufacturing Company. It was a very strong competitor to Cracker Jack. So much so that The Cracker Jack Company bought the product outright from The Shotwell Manufacturing Company in 1926. It was continued to be made and sold but it was eventually phased out by The Cracker Jack Company. The pinback button is imprinted in red and blue ink on a white celluloid covering. It is marked as follows: EAT CHECKERS POPCORN
