Old Salty Sailor 3 Minute Wood & Glass Hour Glass Timer
Sailor   Navy   Nautical   Wood   Glass   Hour Glass   Timer   Novelty   Nostalgic   Decoration   Figure   Figurine   Kitchen   Galley   Ship   Boat
The picture shows two views of this Old Salty Sailor 3 Minute Wood & Glass Hour Glass Timer. We timed it and it is actually 3 minutes 7 seconds. The timer is not dated but it is believed to be from the 1950s or 1960s. It has a small JAPAN sticker on the back of one of the heads. The Sailor heads have painted wooden hats, smoking pipes, eyes, nose, mouth, and they have applied rabbit fur beards. The timer is glass with white sand or salt inside. This would be a great useful whimsical novelty item in a camp or nautical kitchen or galley. The timer measures 5-3/8'' tall. It appears to be in excellent condition as pictured.
