The picture shows a view of this ©1942 World War II Army Navy Paper Dial Insignia Guide. The back is blank except someone had written in pencil ''Thought you would like this.''. It could easily be erased if desired. This old World War II military item pictures a U.S. Navy Sailor and a U.S. Army Soldier. When you turn the dial different stipes show up on the two uniforms and different Navy and Army ranks appear in the openings. The rest of it is marked as follows:

ARMY - NAVY INSIGNIA GUIDE
KEEP 'EM FLYING - FIGHTING - SAILING
BUY WAR BONDS & STAMPS
©1942 ADVERTISERS' SERVICE DIVISION
NEW YORK, N.Y.

On the two sides there are many different insignias pictured. These include the following:

NAVY
Pilot, Line, Observer, Submarine Officer, Civil Engineer, Medical, Dental, Chaplain, Supply, Boatswain Mate, Gunners Mate, Torpedoman, Aviation Machinist Mate, Yeoman, Storekeeper, Aviation Ordnanceman, Quartermaster, and Machinist Mate.

ARMY
Pilot, Observer, Parachutist, Air Corps, Medical, Chaplain, Ordnance, Finance, Engineers, Infantry, Officers U.S., Chemical Warfare, Cavalry, Signal Corps, Military Police, Field Artillery, Coast Artillery, and Quartermaster.

The dial guide measures 4-1/4'' x 5-1/4''. It is in excellent condition as pictured. There is some age spotting on the back.
