| The pictures show views of this Old Boxed French Down Feather Powder Puff With Instructions. This powder puff is not dated but it is old. The first picture shows the powder puff closed and in its box. The box cover pictures the tool as well. The second picture shows the powder puff opened with its white down feathers. The wires and springs are gold plated as mentioned in the instructions. There is a design on the end cap and a fancy gold scrollwork design all around the tool. The smaller tube that is the handle has an end cap as well. This compartment gets filled with powder and it comes through a small hole inside the down puff when used. The down feathers that are used to make up the puff look exactly like the down feathers on our Cockatoo bird. The third picture shows the first page of the (4) page illustrated instruction sheet. This powder puff was made in Paris France. The box label and powder puff are marked as follows: HOUPPETTE PLI

MADE IN FRANCE ''Houpette Pli'' translate in English as ''Powder Puff Fold''. The down feather powder puff folds into the telescopic handle. When pushed opened the gold plated springs and wires open the puff. To judge the sizes the box measures 3-7/8'' x 1'' x 7/8''. It is in near mint condition as pictured. |
