Cracker Jack   Advertising   Reference   Historical   Rare Book
The picture below shows a view of the cover of this CRACKER JACK COMPANY OPERATING COMMITTEE MINUTES book. Since there is only one known copy of this bound book in existence, in 1997 I had retyped the entire original book exactly how it is written, word for word and line for line. This copy is spiral bound with a black window cover. There were only (20) numbered copies made and this is #12 of the (20).

This book is the actual minutes from the Cracker Jack Company's Operating Committee FROM SEPT. 29, 1924 TO OCT. 30, 1925. Every decision made by the company had to go through and be approved by this Committee. In this book you will find information on Advertising, Packaging, Promotions, Products, Sales, Special Deals, Manufacturing, People, Prizes, Premiums, Equipment, and much, much more! It is packed with very valuable information for the Cracker Jack collector or Historian. There are 298 pages. The pages are all one sided just like the original. When reading this book you will feel as if you were right there as important company decisions were being made.

The Title page and forward pages read as follows:

THE CRACKER JACK COMPANY
OPERATING COMMITTEE MINUTES

FROM SEPT. 29, 1924 TO OCT. 30, 1925

The following pages of this book have been faithfully retyped word for word as it appears in the original book. Much care was taken in recreating it with complete accuracy. The purpose for which this book was done was to insure that other copies exists of such valuable historical information. The intent is to provide research material and documentation for the collector of Cracker Jack memorabilia.

It is my hope that with all of this new, unknown information we, as collectors, may be able to become more educated as to where we might look for long lost and forgotten bits of Cracker Jack History. Contained within these pages are many, many clues for this endeavor. It is also my hope that we can recover these lost items before it is too late, so that they may be preserved for future generations to enjoy and treasure.

With this book you will be able to pinpoint to the day when design changes were made in many packages as well as learn of new and/or discontinued products offered by the Cracker Jack Company. You will be introduced to those men who had made it all happen. As you will see, there were hundreds of products produced by the Company in the 1920’s. By reading, you will see the extent of how much was actually produced, not only that, but also where in the country, or in the world it was all distributed.

I am sorry to say that this book only contains one year of information, but as you will see a lot happened in this Company in a single year. I for one, am very happy that this important book survived and that am able to provide this information. I sincerely hope you enjoy this as much as I do.

Ron Toth, Jr.

The book measures 9'' x 11'' x 1-1/4''. It is in mint condition.
